Internet access and the digitization of scientific publications allows Open Access (OA) to anyone interested. The complex open situation -that has to do with paying for access to results of a publicly funded research, the costs of publication, the quality of publications and its transparency- generates complex scenarios with various solutions and opinions to the which must be dealt. SciDF participated in the round table organized by the RACAB to help clarify the debate and to discuss about the benefits, contributions, challenges and of the necessary changes that must be applied to achieve an open access in research to improve access to scientific knowledge.
